Eating question

Recommended Posts

Hello all. I was cleared to eat soft / moist foods on wednesday. When I was eating pureed foods and now when eating the soft / moist foods, the food comes back up with every bite. After I finish eating ( usually 6-10 bites in ) this feeling continues for a half hour to an hour. Does anyone else experience this and does it go away, if it goes away how long will it last? My Dr said it may be from the hiatal hernia they repaired or it could be a food temperature problem? Please help because this is gross and discouraging me from moving off of liquids( which I am sick of ).

Hi there

Are you having liquid before this? Within 30 mins? (No?) i would try eating 1/2 of that, waiting for a few mins, and then try another bite. Sometimes we are over-thinking what we can eat. I honestly could not eat but a couple of bites and was DONE. One bite more than that and everything came back up.

Many of us sleevers can tolerate quite a bit more liquid than we can solids.

Hope this helps.

No I don't have anything to drink an hour before i plan on eating. It's is just bothering me that i am cleared to eat better things and I don't want to because the food comes back up. My NUT said to prepare a half cup of whatever I am eating and I am eating a 1/4 of that with this issue happening. It happens on my first bite even at Breakfast when I haven't had anything since the night before.
