Hi everyone. My surgery was Tuesday afternoon. I came home yesterday, but felt much worse yesterday. Allergic reaction to pain meds and couldn't sleep last night. Has anyone experienced the trouble sleeping? I can't wait till I feel human again and have some energy. Thanks for any advice.

Congratulations on making this brave decision to change your life. I haven't had mine done yet but, I heard the first week is the worst of it. Good luck

I am 6 weeks out of surgery and I too had trouble sleeping. It passes and by next week you should be much better. Hang in there...once I got off the pain meds, things got back to "normal" .. whatever that is. I think our bodies go through so much during surgery and then the meds etc. I found walking every 2 hours and drinking as much as possible helped with all that. I just kept saying "this too shall pass". Good luck to you!
