~Jules~ 0 Posted February 2, 2007 Cindy, we are going to leave it at the same place for now. It was very nice to meet other bandsters. We had a great time. See you next month!!
ready2bthin 2 Posted February 3, 2007 Hey guys, Glad everyone had a great time at the first Denton dinner!! Wish I could've been there, but will certainly be there next month, unless I'm called out of state again. My dad is on hospice due to cancer, so I may have to travel again at some point. I actually left the hospital where my nephew is to come up and see my parents. I will return to the hospital today or tomorrow. My nephew is improving, but he is still "waking up" and doesn't really know what has happened. He will be in intensive speech therapy, physical therapy (which I do), and occupational therapy to help him recover. Thanks again for everyone who is praying for Brian. MissyC 0 Posted February 4, 2007 Hey Mary, Very happy to hear your nephew is doing better. Our continued prayers are with you and your family. Are you going to be staying there for an extended time? Richard, thank you very much for the bandster picture. Maybe you could post it on our thread here? Again, to everyone at the meeting the other night. Was great to meet you. Persistance 0 Posted February 5, 2007 Do you know if there is a group at El Paso area??
MissyC 0 Posted February 5, 2007 Hi Persistance, I don't know about any meetings in the El Paso area. Perhaps post a general post in the Texas forum? Our group would certainly welcome any bandster or potential lapp-bander who is interested. I say the more the merrier. I think Mary planned this one because she, I and others were interested in a meeting for the Denton area. I know I am happy about because I don't care to drive in toward Dallas but was very interested in all the benefits of a support group.
wretched_hyena 0 Posted February 5, 2007 Is this something that is just for women? Because there are men in this forum, too. I don't think I'll welcome anyone from Green Bay. Well, maybe if they promise not to wear a Packers shirt or start talking about Brett Favre...and none of those stupid little cheese-head hats! ~Jules~ 0 Posted February 5, 2007 Richard, Where do you get the Green Bay from? Am I missing something?
ready2bthin 2 Posted February 5, 2007 Hey everyone!! So glad to see the pic. Richard, can you email it to my account if you saved my email address? I would surely appreciate it!! Maybe you could identify who is who, also. I'm supposed to be flying home Wednesday, but I will see what happens. I can change my ticket with no extra charge due to the nature of my visit. Of course, my hubby and 4 teenagers miss me (at least I hope they do...a little...lol) and I know my 2 dogs do (for sure...lol), so I won't stay too long. I saw my dad who is 3 hours north of where my nephew is and he is declining day by day due to cancer. My nephew had a rough weekend, as far as he wasn't as alert, sleeping a lot, but today showed that he is understanding more and physically able to do more, too. They will be evaluating him for a rehab hospital tomorrow where he will hopefully go and get lots of physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Take care everyone and will "stop in" again soon!!!
