I think what upset me was HOW upset I got. I didn't expect to get so upset....it must be the hormones in my fat cells! I guess it is good that the fat cells are disolving! LOL! Thanks.

Before I was sleeved I wanted to prepare my husband for the hormones that were about to be unleashed. He never noticed a difference in me. Apparently, my lovely thyroid had been practicing for the past 10 years to the outside world (I can cry watching a sappy commercial!). I personally noticed a more pronounced weepiness in the month or so after the surgery. Once the night sweats (from initial rapid weight loss) resolved, so did the crying. I feel so much better now three months out! I feel more confident doing presentations at work and less foggy and indecisive. I really think the hormones must have been reined in as a side benefit of this surgery. Tomorrow I will have my first post-surgery labs drawn an am very interested in what the hormone levels will be (cholesterol, too).

Don't worry, as other posters have already said, this is quite normal and transient. Hang in there! :)
