The most I'm able to get is 48g. I know that's why my weightloss is slllllooooowwww. But I can't do any Protein Drinks (they all make me sick). So I have to do food which at 7 weeks is beyond tough.

How many grams of Protein are you guys getting in per day?

I'm 4 months post-op. I recently upped my Protein intake and my goal is 90 g of protein and around 750 calories a day. I struggle to get that many calories in, so on the days I go over, I don't worry about it. I try to concentrate on my protein intake.

I bought the Premier Protein shakes at SAMs today. Im hoping they work.

They are excellent and my go to for Protein to this day. I still can't quite get all my protein in so I am still drinking them. They are the only ones I can tolerate at this point. Every once in a while I will have a Matrix mint cookie Protein Drink but not very often. Definitely like the chocolate more than the vanilla. :)

I'm sposed to aim for about 80. Right now I drink a total of 16 oz of Syntrax nectar a day (23gms+9gms for the milk for each 8 oz) - so I guess thats 64 gms. I can drink about 5 oz at a time now (was sposed to drink 3oz every waking hour, but can drink more now). Still on full liquids so the Protein drinks are where I get 100% of my Protein. I have the unflavored powder, but I've only tried it once (in a glass of ice tea) and it was icky. Think I might've wasted $35 on it. Wasn't tasteless

Oh, and I'm 2 weeks out. So I don't think 64 is all that bad

I get in at least 60 and that's been my goal since immediately post-op. My Protein levels are good at every checkup (just annual now). I know many programs require more. Early out I needed two Protein drinks per day to get to goal. Now I get it all from food.

They are the best I have tried so far and I have tried a lot of them. I drink 2 a day still and each is 30g, 160 calories and very very low sugar. The chocolate is the best!! You can buy them at Sam's and costco. Give em a try! :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
