kim070682 22 Posted July 29, 2013 I am 2 days out (I have surgery scheduled for Wednesday 7/31/13). Let me give you a little background. I have had my tubes tied in 2010 and a Uterine Ablation in 2012 so I haven't had a period in over a year. Now I am assuming becuase of my diet it has my body in a state of chaos and I have started spoting. I have emailed my doctor, but now I am stressing that they won't be able to do the surgery if I am on my period? Any advice??

Does it hurt when they put it in?
PGee 318 Posted July 29, 2013 I also had tubes tied, ablation, and last year was put on a medicine whose side effect is no periods...and I started spotting today......hopefully that's all.....I wonder if it's anxiety about surgery or if it's the small weight loss. Good news is this won't stop the surgery. Good luck on Wed.!

HatheryOnHerWay 603 Posted July 29, 2013 Do they do the catheter when you are awake? Does it hurt when they put it in? Not everyone has a catheter, either. I didn't, nor did I have a drain.
