My OBGYN and my Period

Recommended Posts

Yup...just figured it out, will be getting the good old period just two days after banding. Oh well.

I was thinking of scheduling my OBGYN appointment for the week after surgery, so I can go while I have time off from work. Any thoughts? Was wondering if doing the whole stirrup thing might be a little difficult? Never was before banding, shouldn't be after...right?

just the getting up off the table will be hard. I couldn't pick myself up for about a week. 2 weeks before there was no pain in doing it.

I would wait until at least 2 weeks post-op to go to the ob/gyn. As Sweethot said, it's hard to move around and bend. Plus she/he will want to do a pevlic exam and you don't want anyone pushing down on your incisions before they are healed. I had my pap done about a month after my surgery and was fine.

Until about 10 days after surgery, I felt like someone hit me with a bat in my stomach. I don't think I would have liked to have an exam. Plus, as mentioned before, the getting up and laying down on the exam table woulld be really uncomfortable.

I have to agree with the other ladies. For about two weeks I couldn't stand to lie flat on my back, on my stomach, or on either side. It felt like someone was tugging my insides out of me. Hubby's oversized recliner was my best friend! I wouldn't have dreamed of having any kind of exam lying down at that time.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
