This question is for anyone that has any good information but more for anyone 6 months to a year out...When did you stop drinking Protein Shakes?

I cut back when I got to the full foods stage - about week 6. I still occasionally drink them - mainly after exercise. But I try to get all my Protein from real foods now.

I quit Day 7, when I went to soft foods. The nutritionist said to be off the Protein Shakes by at least the six month point, but I did not like them.

I'm 9 month out and am still finding it difficult to handle certain foods - I don't like fish, beef, pork and chicken all hurt me so I'm still on the shakes at times - luckily I've found one that I like and have it with almond milk.

      The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

        Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
