Tasteofheaven 8 Posted July 28, 2013 This has been interesting for me too. I'm about 5 months out and NEVER had a sweet tooth. My cravings were for salty foods and I couldn't get enough. Now though I seem to be having sweet cravings. Luckily it seems to be for things like fruity frozen yogurt, which I load with fruit and almonds only, but it is odd. When I want chocolate, I seem to do ok with sugar free ones.

swimmom 124 Posted July 28, 2013 The World According to Eggface (a blog) has some GREAT recipes, including ones for Protein mini donuts, and protein ice cream - both WLS friendly. But just as a word of caution... My surgeon does NOT recommend going for pseudo-substitutes - he feels that once your body gets used to sweets - even if they are "fake" or sugar-free - that you will start craving them MORE.
