Hope I'm not having this surgery to close to deer season . I'm having surgery aug 5 and deer season opens oct 1.

You should be fine. Be aware that there are a few weeks of feeling really tired but you should be fine. Just remember to pack the Protein shakes!! Deer sausage would be an awesome snack!!! :)

You might face challenges carrying stuff that's heavy, otherwise you should be okay. Ask your doctor for the final word.

I was chainsawing wood by 3 weeks and that was with the hernia repair...I think you'll have no trouble murdering Bambi. :)

That's funny I thought only my brothers worried about deer season. Lol. Venison is a gray source of Protein

Deer and antilope both have great protien and making your own jerkey alowes the use of less salt than store bought. I didn't kill till my 6 weeks of no lifting was over but then I made up for lost time.

At least with hunting your dealing less with the stomach/groin as with the shoulder. I'm gonna miss fishing for awhile. I blue Water fish and the rod's butt is typically right in the gut.
