Lose 10 and stall, lose 10 and stall

Recommended Posts

Anyone else experiencing this? I'll lose 10 pounds, stall for 2 weeks. Lose 10 more and stall for 2 weeks. I have noticed though that my bust waist and hips measurements going down and clothes fitting much looser. My dad even calls me "Slim" now...but still far from it. Just curious if this is normal or if anyone else is doing this?

yah, I think that's pretty typical since your body is still trying to catch up from the rapid weight loss. Happens to me constantly. One time I stalled for 2 weeks and the next morning I was down 7 lbs. It gets frustrating but its normal to still lose inches during the stalls... so that's what keeps me going. So at least you know you're not alone!! :)

I stall for 3 weeks at a time. My clothes are fitting loser. I never thought to take measurement but I guess I could do that. I'm not sure if I'm having enough Protein. I do 1 shake a day of whey which is 24 g and take Protein through other sources. I'm going to increase my shakes to 3 a day to see if that will increase my weight loss.

Sounds like you kind of operate on a 3-week loss cycle. If it begins to bother you, maybe just weigh one per month :)

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
