Tiny One 223 Posted July 27, 2013 At some point you'll be able to eat what you eat now. You just won't be able to eat as much of it.
Nicolanz 1,484 Posted July 27, 2013 I don't have any issues with fries but battered anything makes me so sick still at 9 months out!
Sassygirl06 962 Posted July 27, 2013 It will be more like a piece of fish and a couple chips...lol I have had it since surgery, but I never really have room for the fries after. Even when I do eat some fries, they make me really full really fast. I can eat anything now that I want, but still can only fit about 1/4-1/2 a cup of food. I try to order half orders, but if I can't I just save the left over fish, and throw away the fries. You will be able to enjoy everything again soon enough. I recommend sticking to your surgeons diet as long as possible to get the most out of your sleeve. Good luck! 1 Tiny One reacted to this
lsereno 2,525 Posted July 27, 2013 It may not be your fav post op. some foods that I liked per-op, particularly greasy foods or lactose-heavy foods, do not appeal to me any more because I often don't feel well after I eat them. But everyone is different and you may not have the issue with these foods. Not that I never eat them, but they certainly don't call my name like they used to. cynthia4722 74 Posted July 27, 2013 At a year out I can eat a very small piece of fish, but only a few french fries.
SleeveNZ 219 Posted July 28, 2013 Of course! However just be careful with the fish ... it can tend to be a bit dry as they don't always use the freshest fish. I can usually eat half a piece of fish and a few fries
