It is possibility that you are allergic to the vikryl stitches that are in you. My wife had that problem with her gallbladder surgery and one of her incisions still itches almost a year later.

Yikes! I think this is a normal itch, like when you scrape your knees and it starts to itch after a while. I've had a couple of other surgeries and never had trouble with stitches vut always remember some vague itching. I'm sorry your wife is still suffering!!

I had the same problem. Take a Benadryl it is like magic!!!
