aumum 41 Posted July 26, 2013 Hello everyone, I'm getting sleeved on the 7th of august and I am on day 3 of my pre op diet. I'm reading 'weightloss' surgery for dummy's but it doesn't have much about the gastric sleve in there. Can anyone recommend a book to read that will be helpful or inspirational while I try to take my mind off food? Thanks in advance!

[/quote'] I have a book on my iPad called the big book on the Gastric Sleeve. It is excellent. I found it on Amazon. I am also getting sleeved on 7th August. At Pindara Hospital on the Gold Coast. With Dr Nolan. I suspect you are somewhere in Australia as well.

I hope so because I can't imagine doing this for 2 weeks!
Rox 200 Posted July 26, 2013 There's the Big Book on Gastric Sleeve, and the one by the surgeon Dr. Guillermo Alvarez, both are really good. Both are available on Amazon, and the downloads are 9.
AmyInOrlando 348 Posted July 26, 2013 I read "Successful Weight Loss with THE GASTRIC SLEEVE" by Dr. Guillermo Alvarez. You can order it on his site, Endobariatrics.com or Amazon. It's written simply, and gives you all the before and after information you need. I also purchased the book EAT IT UP, The Complete Mind / Body / Spirit Guide to a Full Life After Weight Loss Surgery, by Connie Stapleton, PHD. I haven't read it yet, I'm saving it to have something to read on my flights to and from Mexido. Dr. Alvarez's book deals with the neck down, and Stapleton's book deals with the neck up. Both equally important.

Day 4 of Pre op diet and doing OK! 1 aumum reacted to this
