Yep, some may have had their funny bone taken out also! I wonder if that cost extra????

BC/BS of Maryland doesn't cover funny bone removal...I have to go out-of-country for that. Still have my LOL.

My apologies if I took a post too seriously. I for one like to pride myself on having a sense of humor and hope to get the same in return. So I’m sorry for temporarily losing my “funny bone”. I read a post that seem to give me no indication that something was said in gest (no smiley faces, no LOL acronym, etc) and since we seem to be bombarded by constant political bullying from all directions these days, I made the assumption this was one of those instances. Please accept my apologies and I’ll try to stay away from message boards on Monday mornings. Being hungry used to make me most grumpy…..now being sleepy on a Monday morning has moved up to the top of the list in making me irritable. Sorry bout that.

That's the ticket...let's just put it all on Monday...the good, the bad and the ugly...lol.

Politics aside...the information in the article is good and certainly worth the read.

Thanks for sharing...and happy Monday (what's left of it anyway...).

I agree with you. It wasn't implied as a joke. I've stayed away because I too have read the bullying that goes on here at times. Oh well.

I do thank you for your great humor. You may need to ask for a refund.

That is a great article. i always wondered how long I was supposed to rest between sets.

I love strength training. I hate cardio, but I do it. It's great to know how to maximize

the benefits of it.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
