SerendipityHappens 1,594 Posted July 25, 2013 I take Iron a few days a week because my multi does not have any Iron in it. (which I chose intentionally so I could take my multi and Calcium at the same time) Also I made sure my calcium has d3 in it which is something I was told I needed. Also you need to divide your calcium into smaller doses since the max you can absorb at any one time is I believe 500 mg. So I take half of my Multivitamin dose along with calcium with my Breakfast.. then with lunch I take just calcium. Then with dinner I take half of a Multivitamin dose along with calcium. Then at night I take my iron if I need it. (I only take the iron on days when I don't eat a lot of food high in iron)
