smallbird 168 Posted July 25, 2013 Hi guys! So I'm always trying to find healthy ways to get my Protein in. I found out about Tempeh, its fermented soybeans mashed into a patty...I know it sounds gross but its a big step up from Tofu. It has 31g of protein in One Cup!! So I purchased some from Trader Joes today and attempted to cook it. I started by cubing it and sauteing it with some middle eastern spice...fail it was not good! Second try I boiled it in chicken broth with garbonzo Beans and curry...fail still not good! I was gonna just throw it out and give up, but I'm like ok this is a lot of protein to trash so I rinsed it put it in the blender with taco seasoning, some sweet yellow corn and some black beans. Finally totally good! Im going to continue to learn how to cook it properly, I guess my problem was not steaming it first so Its not so bitter. Now I know =D 2 Molly3 and TES reacted to this
