Daddysgirl10 62 Posted July 24, 2013 So as of today I am 6 weeks post weighing in at 204 from 244 to start. My husband was admitted to the hospital yesterday and once I made it home I found myself snaking. What was I snacking on? I had 1 small chocolate chunk cookie, and a half of a dounut. Then I caought myself and realized what I was doing and broke down and started crying. I have been doing really well today by logging and staying on track, I weighed in this morning and was down 2 lbs. I have to admit I was really surprised. Right now it just feels so hard with everything that's going on in my life, but I know I have a new life style and I have to make it work.
apricot1119 105 Posted July 24, 2013 Clean out your pantry! I am a stress eater too, but if it isn't there I can't eat it. A slip up here and there won't mess you up, but the guilt starts a nasty spiral 3 TwinsMama, Momonanomo and Daddysgirl10 reacted to this
dgoerlitz 96 Posted July 24, 2013 I agree with apricot1119...clean out the pantry. When I had my surgery, we threw out, boxed and bagged up all the "bad" food and got it OUT of the house! Out of sight...out of mind! If the only Snacks you have are healthy ones, that is all you will snack on, right? 2 Daddysgirl10 and apricot1119 reacted to this
TwinsMama 483 Posted July 24, 2013 Also, make sure you log what you ate. Instead of beating yourself up, use it as motivation to not indulge that way again. It will help you to see those calories and carbs that you didn't want/need. We are all on this site because we had problems (in one way or another) with food. Realize this is a slip (and you made it 6 weeks at that, so good job), and commit to not doing it again. You'll find support here, so if you feel really stressed, come read the boards. It has helped me not eat when I knew I shouldn't. 3 apricot1119, Daddysgirl10 and Bridget312001 reacted to this
