Yeah, we had dreadful heat and humidity last week and I almost passed out on my morning walk. Light headed, spots before my eyes, the whole thing. I had to sit down by a tree for like a half hour until it passed. I started to think that maybe I've become one of those old people who should stay in the air conditioning when the weather is extreme and the air quality is bad.

Or it could be I need to cut back my high blood pressure med again. I am only taking 1/3 of what I used to take, but I am going to cut that in half now.

Could that be what's happening to you? Do you take meds and have you adjusted for weight loss? Have you called your doctor and told them about this?

I've had quite a few bouts of dizziness of late (12 weeks post op) and wondered if my bp has dropped along with my weight. It's especially bad if I stand up quickly, and I've fallen badly once and nearly fallen loads of times. Covered in bruises at the moment as I keep toppling into things.

And it's winter DownUnder - an unusually warm winter for sure, but I'm definately not overheated.

Of course it could be an inner ear infection...

You've spurred me to go to my GP about it.

I am certainly not a doctor, but that sounds like blood pressure to me. I've had HBP for 40 years, and tried every med on the market. And had every side effect. Part of my reason for the sleeve was to get off my meds, and I am almost there!

Don't know how Australia medical doctors work, but suggest that you call and/or get in right away -- like today! Your condition sounds dangerous, as in you shouldn't be driving! Good luck!

Are you drinking and eating appropriately? If it's hot weather and you're thirsty, you're already behind the 8 ball (dehydrated). It's hard to catch up. I got heat exhaustion from being at the fair and not drinking enough fluids (I know better but didn't do better). I paid the price and still trying to recover from it. My mum has a saying on her kitchen wall, "Learn from the mistakes of others, you can't live long enough to make them all yourself". Sure....LOL Hope that helps.

My heart Dr did tell me tho skip my bp pill if I thought I was going to be out in the heat. I work in the heat so my next event I will slip my pill.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
