RunningA5K 645 Posted July 31, 2013 An update: Today was the first of two psych visits. Today I took the 338 question test, and met with the psych. After I took the test, she reviewed the results with me, and finally indicated that I was a good candidate for surgery, and her recommendation was that I go ahead with it. Good news...another hurdle jumped!
RunningA5K 645 Posted August 7, 2013 Had final psych visit today. Good visit and cleared by her for surgery... Next up...surgeon consult next week.
LBD 121 Posted August 7, 2013 Hi MWin... Same boat.... My boys are at summer camp this week and next and so I'm in doctor visit marathon mode! First appt with my surgeon last Thursday & nutritionist, cardio, bloodwork, psych, endoscopy, ultrasound all scheduled this week & next! When do you estimate you'll have surgery? I'm most likely going to have it in October.

Those will be completed early-ish October, if I can get them scheduled right...then I should have everything done and just wait for the date, which I hope will be October or November...I wish it was yesterday... Lol Thanks so much for your post...it does sound like we are on a similar path for sure!

RunningA5K 645 Posted August 21, 2013 I've been relatively lucky...the first visit was the 24th, second visit the 20th, third visit the 16th, so they seem to be inching it up. The last visit isn't apparently with the dietician, so since its a different person all together, I am going to ask if I have to wait the full month. The dietician seemed to indicate that it was a hoop that even she didn't agree with me having to do, since this person has nothing to do with the surgery process. They just want to see that a 'physician' has signed off on it, regardless of the fact that I have never met with that physician and my dietician is perfectly capable (and more informed) to sign off on it herself.
