SueJH 205 Posted July 22, 2013 So I'm house sitting for a friend this week. Got here early Saturday and stopped at the grocery store on the way to pick up what I would need. Well, I forgot my food scale at home and had bought a rotisseire chicken. I divided the chicken in the little snack bags I brought into roughly 2oz servings. I'm not that far from my home so I stopped there this morning after the gym. I weighed that bags I had left and out of 4 bags, 2 were exactly 2oz, one was 1.8 and one was 1.6 (I knew this one was a little low. It was the end of the chicken pulling off what I could!) So I'm feeling pretty confident that when the time comes and I find myself going out to eat that I'll be pretty close if I estimate. 2 gmanbat and AngelNP reacted to this
marfar7 1,533 Posted July 22, 2013 After my band 4 yrs ago, I got so good at eyeballing everything I never measured or weighed anything. I just ate till my body told me to stop. Which was very little food. My dad worked at the Post Office when I was kid. He could balance an envelope in his hand and determine what it would cost, exactly. He was always right. He could tell if you needed another stamp or whatever. Why did i just tell you that? No clue. I guess I'm pretty chatty today! 3 gmanbat, SueJH and AngelNP reacted to this
