Yeah, I'm not enjoying this too much. I refuse to mess it up, but still don't like it. It definitely helps to stay busy and drink lots of Water. My surgery is Aug 3. Sometimes it seems like its right around the corner and sometimes (like today when I'm frustrated with the diet) it seems like forever. I know it will go quickly overall, but its dragging butt today.

I am struggling today as well. I need a NAP! I am so tired that i'm having trouble focusing and I really, really do want to go back to bed--and it's only 10:34 am. I''m on day 4 of this and it's veg Soup and Protein shake, and Protein Shake and veg Soup and for some variety, some more Protein Shake.< /p>

Like you, I refuse to mess it up, but by golly, August 2nd can NOT come fast enough.

Where will you guys be? I'll be at Mi Doctor in Tijuana' date=' and then the Marriott.[/quote']

We're going to Dr Alvarez in Mexico. I tell you what, it's really good to do it together. If we weren't accountable to each other, I wonder if I wouldn't be "just" snacking on a "small something". But since we're doing the pre-op together, there will be no cheating :)

I was supposed to do 7 days but he had to do 14 days so I'm doing it with him. I remind him once a day that's it true love to go on an extra 7 day liquid diet just to keep him company :P

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
