Sharon7370 6 Posted July 21, 2013 I had my sleeve 7 months ago and have lost 106 lbs to date. I have felt run down of late suffering from a mouth ulcer and irritating cough also a Water infection and a rash that looks like a mild dose of shingles. My hair is also very thin. I suffer from Primary Biliary Cirrhosis (an autoimmune disease of the liver, sleep apnoea and fatty liver disease. I take Ursodeoxycholic Acid 600mg and Provigil 400mg for the PBC. I am on a Multivitamin plus Iron once a day. I only manage to eat about 10grams of protien a day. What additional supplements should I take to feel better and get back on track? Bronco0605 135 Posted July 21, 2013 I am no expert but maybe you can tell us what else you are eating. 10 grams of Protein is so very little. How much food altogether?
Sharon7370 6 Posted July 21, 2013 I still only manage very small portions. I'll have a fat free yoghurt or small banana for Breakfast, a very small tuna salad at lunch and a small piece of chicken with carrots and broccoli for tea, the portion size is less than a saucer full as I am full so quickly. kim070682 22 Posted July 21, 2013 Just from my research I think you need more Protein. I am still on preop diet by my post op in the maintenance stage says 50-65 grams of Protein. I know low protein will cause hair to thin. 1 Sharon7370 reacted to this

Bronco0605 135 Posted July 21, 2013 Try greek yogurt or cottage cheese they both have tons of Protein. Also how many times a day are you eating? My nutritionist said I should eat 5-6 times a day both now and post op.
