I'm having it this Thursday 7/25 and I'm super scared and nervous! I'm a baby when it comes to pain

You can not top me when it comes to being a baby with pain. I am the biggest baby out there when it comes to pain, and my hubby tells me all the time that I am allergic to pain. If I can have a painful c-section and a sleeve and survive? Everyone out there and their kid sister can do it and survive too. Don't worry, you will be more than fine and if you can't take the pain then take the pain medication. Good luck

Lol! I'm just curious as to what kind of pain will I feel? Like after an ab workout where your super sore or like a big truck punched you in the stomach? Did you have a "draining tube" or something to help you go to the bathroom? What kind of pain medication did they give you for when you went home? I know alot of questions I'm sorry I'm just super curious

I had surgery on Friday (7/19) and the first day I had really bad gas pain. But the second day it was gone and the only pain I was dealing with is the pulling at the belly button. I am currently not taking any pain meds. I had no drain tubes and no catheter. Best of luck!! The hardest part for me was drinking the first day. Now I'm going better.

Good luck!!! How are you feeling 3 days post op? I'm planning on returning to work that Tuesday(7/30) so I was wondering if there was still pain or anything out of the usual? I work in an office sitting all day so I figured I'd be ok

I'm feeling good. The only pain is the tugging feeling in my belly button. I'm taking 2 weeks off from work. I think it's going to be the best two weeks ever!!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
