VSGJourneyGrandma 19 Posted July 20, 2013 I really messed up in making my Cream of Wheat this morning. I finally got some vanilla Protein Powder instead of just my standard chocolate. So, I thought putting some in my morning hot Cereal would be a good idea. So, during the cooking part of brinking my water/almond milk to a boil, I dumped in some Protein powder. Well, it immediately clumped up and looked like giant dumplings. So, what is the correct process to getting our protein powder into hot cereal?
CorvetteGirl 78 Posted July 20, 2013 Protein will definitely clump up if the liquid is too hot. Try to get the liquid between 130 and 140F. It shouldn't be any hotter than 140F.
