Surgery June 13th and I'm down 37 since surgery, 52 from preop weight (90 lbs since my highest weight). No real issues. I find my weight loss fluctuates depending on hormones and Water consumption. Just started working out last week.

My surgery was June 12th. I started at 244 lbs in the 10 day preop diet I lost 10 lbs and was 234 day of surgery. Today I am 196lbs. A total loss of 38lbs since surgery but 48 total and I haven't been exercising like I should yet. Figure now that im down some weight I can start moving a little more because it will be easier to get around at around 50lbs lighter! Yeah buddy! :-)

I was sleeved June 25

My highest weight was 263

Didn't do pre-op

Current weight. 225

Have dropped 38 lbs

I must confess I'm frustrated thought I would lose more by now...but have been in a 5lb stall for 3 weeks :-( I lose them then gain then back. Not sure what I'm doing wrong

You are looking pretty fabulous girl! Stalls are going to happen...don't worry...the weight and the inches WILL come off...just keep doing what you're suppose to be doing. Congrats on your weight loss so far!

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
