I don't think there is a "right" answer to how much you "should" lose. Some people lose faster than others for various reasons. I have lost 37 pounds total since June 3. I lost 22 on pre-op diet, and I have lost 15 since my surgery on June 21 (4 weeks out).

I agree with tesser85. I don't think you can compare numbers. People will lose differently based on their starting BMI, how active they are, if they are male or female, a number of reasons. I think as long as the number is going down, you are going in the right direction. I was sleeved on June 11th, and have lost a total of 46 pounds. 6 of that prior to my pre-op, 15 during my pre-op diet, and 25 since surgery.

I think the consensus of the respondents is correct...everyone is different...metabolism, BMI, food choices, Protein consumption, exercise, etc. will all affect how your body responds. I lost 16 pounds prior to surgery, 6 pounds during 1 week pre-op, and 15 pounds since surgery (June 27). I sometimes think this is a slow process. However, I did not gain the weight in a few weeks, so why would I lose it in a few weeks. The majority of the research indicates 6-12 months for weight loss w/ a common baseline of 6-8 months when people realize they have lost a significant amount of weight.

I was sleeved on June 18th and I have lost 27 pounds with pre-op diet included. I just went through about 2 weeks where I lost not a pound and in fact gained about 3. When I stepped on the scale yesterday, I had lost those 3 pounds so hopefully I am on the road to losing again. I teach school and I have clothes that for some reason I saved that I want to start back to school wearing but I need to lose about 10 more pounds to get into them. That is my goal for now.

I was sleeved on June 17 and have lost 35lbs. since my surgery. But over the past 5-6 days I've lost nothing.

Has anyone seen an increase in appetite since they have healed? I find myself thinking about food every couple hours. Not that I can take in that much, but the sensuality of food remains. And sometimes it's confusing to tell whether your body is hungry or if your mind is wanting to taste something yummy.

I hope my weightloss starts back up as I begin to add real exercise into my daily routine.

I don't have the desire to eat, but I've been watching a lot of cooking channels nonstop. Also, my weight loss has been at a standstill this week.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
