AudOne 82 Posted July 19, 2013 I'm 8 weeks post op & am starting to amp up my workouts now. The problem is I am chafing really bad under my lower stomach. Has anyone else had this issue & if so, how did you solve it? Thanks in advance for any help.
tigerbelle 328 Posted July 19, 2013 I used cornstarch powder, and that helped a lot...I also recall that there was this anti-chafing gel they sold at the drugstore near where they sell the feminine care products...not all stores carried it but when I could find it, that was a great product
zenandnow 514 Posted July 19, 2013 Monistat sells an anti-chafing gel. I use it for that and it works GREAT. No odor, no staining and it lasts all day. I didn't like powder because it got on everything, and it wears off when you sweat. The gel doesn't. My drugstore carries it on the feminine care aisle, and you can order it from drugstore.com online. 3 zoey1176, TwinsMama and kw2walker reacted to this

shoopaie 26 Posted July 19, 2013 I like to ride bicycles on long trips. I like to mix a little noxema and vaseline together. Lasts for a long time, pretty inexpensive and no chaffing. At least give it a try. It doesnt take much. Good luck

mark! 449 Posted July 21, 2013 Sounds crazy, but I wear compression shirts all the time. When I had a large amount hanging over before surgery, I would tuck the compression shirt under my belly, creating a smooth layer of fabric between my lower area and my belly. Now, thank God, I don't have this issue. 1 kw2walker reacted to this

danaevett 179 Posted July 22, 2013 Gold Bond makes a product called "Friction Stick" and it works wonderfully. It looks just like a stick of deodorant.
NoneYa 380 Posted July 22, 2013 Isn't this one of hose issues that should e documented by your pcp for a possible ins paid TT later? I would think so.
conemjo 3 Posted July 23, 2013 I buy butt butter..it was made for cyclists, but it works wonders for exactly the chaffing problem you are talking about, too. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000HZGTUS
