AmandainSC 0 Posted July 19, 2013 Surgery is on the 29th (next Monday). Was totally excited the first few months. Now im having trouble sleeping and feel sick when thinking about it. Hopefully it's just nerves. And im starting to second guess whether I should do it or not. Is this normal?
Camella 209 Posted July 19, 2013 Totally normal! I became obsessed with thinking out it. I couldn't think of anything else and I was terrified. From what I understand, most people have varying degrees of feeling like this. Even the day of the surgery I was all gowned up and lying on the hospital bed thinking "what am I doing?" What helped me was trying to focus on the outcome. I would also do a lot of online "window shopping" just looking at clothes that I will one day be able to wear. Sounds pretty superficial but it helped. Good luck next Monday! 1 jody521 reacted to this
AmandainSC 0 Posted July 19, 2013 Thanks! I try to keep telling myself ots for the best and if I can make it through the first 6 months I will be ok. But I get so worried about the pain after and just the whole new way of life. And the fact its permanent.
