pjknitts 47 Posted July 19, 2013 So I was able to get my EGD results online and it looks like I have diaphragmatic hernia and gastritis duodenitis. I wish it wasn't after hours cause I need to know what all this means and if it hurts my chances for the sleeve surgery.
Fixerupper 335 Posted July 19, 2013 Most hernias are repaired during sleeve surgery. They are pretty common. I had gastritis and it did not delay my surgery. They just put me on a ppi and carafate pre op to help heal up the stomach lining. Try to relax until morning :-)

NewAshes 232 Posted July 19, 2013 It depends on the surgeon. There's a few who won't do the surgery if you have a big hiatal hernia but I'm not sure about what you have. Most are repaired during surgery.
