MissKatt 26 Posted July 18, 2013 I think it is at least. I've never had an abnormal one before. My only medical condition is asthma. Here's a quick picture I took of the readout before I dropped it off to my surgeon. Anyone have any experience with this or thoughts? Anything that has to do with my heart really freaks me out. *Edit* I had to delete the attached photo, but it says; Normal Sinus rhythm Right axis deviation Nonspecific ST and T wave abnormal Abnormal ECG. TwinsMama 483 Posted July 18, 2013 I've seen this before, they'll probably want to do more tests. Doesn't mean you won't get approved, they'll just try to manage if you do have a heart condition.
melis56914 26 Posted July 18, 2013 I didn't have any problems with it, but my husband had surgery on his leg and he had to have an EKG done, the anesthesiologist wanted to see the readout before she would sign off during his pre-admin appt, so I'm not sure if the surgeon would stop it or if it has more to do with that. MissKatt 26 Posted July 18, 2013 I've done a lot of searching on the internet, there isn't much - but my asthma could be a factor with the right axis deviation. With the ST and T waves, my anxiety could have been a factor or the leads were simply placed wrong by the tech. I haven't got a call from my surgeon, he called me the day my labs came back with low Iron showing, so I guess I'm not dying ( I hope) but still freaks me out lol
ShelPrice 70 Posted July 18, 2013 I had a false positive on my EKG and cardiologist retested me and said I was fine. Course I was out the money to see the cardiologist. Shel in Kansas - Sleeved 5/21/
