I was sleeved Monday July 15th, overall I'm doing well I just feel so exhausted. I am getting in my liquids so I know I'm not dehydrated I'm just curious when does it go away, being so tired I mean. I can get up for am hour or two at the most but then I'm back in bed for at least 30 mins to an hour even if I don't sleep I just lay down and relax.

Take it easy. Everything gets better with time. But u r newly post surgery. It has taken me a good 5 weeks to begin to feel energetic. Now that i am eating and drinking more. Remember u r consuming very few calories and calories = energy. Listen to your body and rest! All the best.

I was the same way my first full week but after around day 7, I was beginning to feel human again. It is a major surgery and I think the body just needs the time to rest and recover. You'll feel a million times better next week!

I would agree it took about 4 to 5 weeks till I was 100 percent full energy. I could function fine within the first week (about 3 days after surgery I was back to work part time - work from home so that makes a BIG difference) but I was still taking a nap in the afternoon for about 2 weeks. And I could only walk around the block once for about the first month. So it definitely takes time to feel back to your full strength. Baby yourself a bit, it's okay to take a nap if you need it or cut back on activities for a little while.

I'm at 6 weeks today and still feel exhausted. I went back to work at a month and have a long commute so that is part of it. By the end of the day I am literally falling into the bed.

I read a couple of Vets say it took them 8 weeks or more to feel any sense of normal again. Good luck to you!

It took me 8 weeks or more before the exhaustion subsided. My Nut put me on Vitamin B12 and that helped tremendously. You body is healing from Major Surgery and with a low calorie intake. But each day get better and better. Rest periods are necessary for the body to repair itself. Sooner or later you be feeling you will feeling like the energizer Bunny.

Good luck

It took me 8 weeks to get any energy back. I had thought to myself what in the world have I done to my body , I was tired 24- 7 for 8 week, then I was on regular food at that point and Protein Drinks and started feeling better. I didn't think I made the right decision until two months later now on July 16th was one year and down 116 pounds and the best thing that I have ever done. be patient and do exactly what your dr. tells you to do and you will be fine.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
