Fitness trainer required by insurance?

Recommended Posts

I was just wondering if anybody else had to see a trainer for six moths aside from seeing the nutritionist.

My insurance is requiring and my doctors office has a trainer that does 30 minute appointments for the six months complimentary. The trainer seems to be a bit pushy on my signing up for 2 x per week for 240 a month. I did the math and its almost half the cost of my out of pocket costs.

Just wondering what kind of experiences you guys have had.

I wish, then I could just put all of my trainers and coaches through my insurance and only pay a deductible, ha. I didn't have to have a trainer, just the supervised diet.

That's the thing. It's not even covered by the insurance!

Sounds like ur dr's office is running a little side business. I think that u should call ur insurance & clarify if its an insurance requirement or an dr's requirement.

Then push back. Flat out tell them your not interested & to stop asking u.
