I was sleeved Monday at about 11:39. Very little nausea. Feel like I've done a bazillion crunches And every time I sip my Water I get a huge air bubble. I walk it off and then I'm fine until my next little sip.

Welcome to the losing side and congrats on your new sleeve! =). The gas pain does subside but it really got me that first week too (which was just last week!).

Welcome to the sleeve side! As for drinks take it slow and sip sip sip. Maybe if you sip it in to your mouth and let it trickle down your throat, thats what I did the first few days. Congratulations

I was sleeved the same day but at 2PM. I am having air bubble issues when drinking too. Just finished walking around and the gas is moving. How is you pain level in general?

I was sleeved Monday at 11:30 too!! I'm having a hard time with Water, but have been able to get broth and Jello down with no problem. My stomach is constantly growling like I'm hungry. Does anyone else have this problem? I really want a soft Soup but I don't want to get sick either. .

Jello works for me so far. Haven't had broth yet but yes my stomach is making noise too. Especially after i drink Water.

My pain level is okay. The worst part is when I get up I have to maneuver myself so my incisions don't pulls. That and the fact the it feels like I have done a bazillion crunches is all the trouble I am having.

I am 25 days out and I had the stomach growling too. It is just your body getting adjusted. Also, what I thought was a sip of Water and what my new pouch thought was a sip were different! Take smaller sips. In a few days that part will get better and you will be able to take bigger and bigger drinks. I loved potato soup and cream of chicken Soups. Didn't have a problem with either- they made me feel like I had had something!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
