Tomato Junkie Sara 1 Posted July 16, 2013 Hello, I'm in the preliminary stage of planning, and I'm being told my insurance may not pay. If I end up having to pay, does anyone have any info on the average cost in the St. Louis area? I'm looking at the Wash U option right now, but it's not set in stone. Thanks! Beach Lover 1,084 Posted July 16, 2013 I am originally from St.Louis and live in Florida now. Wash U has always been a fantastic place to go for anything. They have a stellar reputation. I was a self pay also I had to go to Boca Raton and I paid $10,500 and this was all inclusive. Thought I would give you a starting point for comparison. Good luck to you!! 2 Tomato Junkie Sara and sweetcherrywine reacted to this
sweetcherrywine 1 Posted July 17, 2013 I am self pay as well and trying to find a good doctor. I'm from Spokane Washington but I'm willing to fly. Does anyone know of a doctor that doesn't charge a fortune and has a good reputation a little closer to home? Any help would be appreciated. In Spokane and Seattle the surgeons i contacted start at 25 grand and up for the sleeve. I can't afford that. I need my band removed at the same time. I have a hernia but doctor said it was no big deal. Thanks!

I know some do so good luck to you!! He charged me $10,500 but I know yours would probably be more simply because of the circumstance you have going on. Good luck to you!! Tomato Junkie Sara 1 Posted July 17, 2013 I'm not really pleased with how the program at Wash U is starting out, in that you apply, then wait 2 weeks for a reply on whether you get an invite to a seminar. I called them and pushed the issue today, told them I don't want to waste 2 weeks waiting if the answer is no. She said my invite went out today, yay! I don't know when the seminar is, but when I do learn the price, I'll post it. I've heard that some docs discount for self pay. 1 Beach Lover reacted to this
