I was vegan when I did raw but wld love to add raw milk next time around. Sooooo fricken yummy!

I don't know where u love but I used to live near Santa Monica and they have a few raw restaurants. If you're ever there' date=' u must try planet raw or euphoria loves rawvolution. Heaven![/quote']

Mmmmm!!! yes You re so right about the raw milk. I make sure to have a tall glass of Raw milk daily that I get from a local farm. They also have non-soy, non-GMO fed free range eggs. I eat 2 raw yolks daily. Yummy! I have only recently included milk and egg Proteins, because I am trying to recover from major plastic surgery. E

EEEK! I need to know where you are shopping. My kids want those darn 4.99/pd cherries and grapes. I feed them pringles instead. Cheaper. JK!

Ha ha ha, I know what you mean. My kids can eat a whole container of Pringles that Grandpa buys them, but they will only eat a small amount of grapes or cherries. Yes they are expensive, but my food bill is low because i refuse to buy anything else in the store. I just want my kids to learn how to eat healthy, and not have to have surgery to cut out half their stomach. Please do not get me wrong, I really love my tiny tummy, but if I can pass down good healthy eating habits to my kids . . . Which is not easy, They may mot have to go through the misery of being overweight, and the health issues that come along with it. Sometimes it seem I am fighting a losing battle. I wish there was a magic pill . . .

Oh and there are plenty of tofu brands that are non GMO...

Really, I have tried to cook with tofu many times, but never thought about adding it to my smoothies. I got to try that. I hear chocolate is a vegetable :-)

In my book chocolate is the food of the gods! :P

Silken tofu is best for blending.

But I like extra firm for eating I dry fry mine..

I cut up my tofu and SLOW fry it with no oil or butter on a non stick griddle or a cast Iron pan. I fry it on a lower heat to get the moisture out and crisp it up. I love it just like that and out it in the refrigerator and eat it cold as a snack.

Ok back to your regular raw food programming :D

Ps my daughter likes the tofu just raw uncooked.

DAY 1 - 320 lbs

DAY 9 - 312.5 lbs

Well I've dropped half a pant size in a little over a week. My legs rub together less' date=' and I'm sleeping like a baby again. The weight loss slowness I think it because I'm building muscle from aerobics 6 times a week.

So yesterday I kinda screwed up - had two bananas for Breakfast, a banana for lunch and then for dinner I had planned a nice salad. However after suddenly realizing I barely touched my juice, I consumed a very large 40oz worth over an hour's time.

And then I wasn't hungry. At all for 4+ hours. No salad, no nothing except 3 bananas the entire day. DOH, that's probably bad. But I just wasn't hungry at all. Probably how these juice fasters make it work - they eat 100% raw a few weeks before, so they weren't all that hungry anyhow. So today I'm trying to stuff more food down my gut. Originally I'd planned to not eat until I was hungry, but I'm NEVER hungry. A far cry from eating 3 pizzas in a week before I started this journey, eh?

So for Breakfast I had a smoothie:

And people are STILL concerned about my Protein (which I get almost 50g a day). Here's how:

2+ handfuls of organic spinach with every smoothie. And I *try* to get 2 smoothies in a day. And then a banana for lunch (plus my coffee), and tonight I'm having a salad (I swear this time).[/quote']

Yay good job!

DAY 1 - 320 lbs

DAY 10 - 311.7 lbs

Haha, I'm glad people are making smoothies, drinking fresh green juices!

You guys rock.

Uh - average day. I may not post every day anymore, since nothing significant is going on. Maybe once a week. The weight continues to shed. Inches are dropping off.

Yep. I jam a ton of kale or spinach in mine. They are bright green. Here's one of hundreds of YouTube videos with a green smoothie recipe:

Coconut Water tastes better than actual Water. And I use a lot more ice.

Farms that produce raw milk are under strict supervision of the USDA. They sell raw milk at many stores and there are many more good things for you in raw milk than there are in pasteurized and homogenized.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
