newat52 1,613 Posted July 16, 2013 Lol! I got lucky! We just had to order one of tr Sabine the knee black satin dresses in the line of dressed. I like the dress, but I am afraid because none of them had sleeves Nd I am way self conscious! I may need a shawl or something! I never show my arms unless I have to in a swimsuit!!!!! It's great that you like the dress, it doesn't always work out that way. I think we've all been there. About your arms, ya know, you may be surprised, I never wear sleeveless. Ever. Now, I look down at my arms and they are starting to appear dare I say, normal? Huh? Did I just say that? From the perspective of just looking at them in something sleeveless, they look normal now. Of course I lift them and the batwings are there but I'm starting not to care because the rest is starting to look normal. I guess that can be a NSV?? feelbetter 26 Posted July 18, 2013 I am in the same boat!!! I'm a bridesmaid in a wedding set for November 23. I was sleeved June 19th. I'm down 31 lbs. and dress sizes from a 20 to a 16 now. I have to order 12 weeks in advance. I have no clue what to order!!! I am thinking a 12 to be safe. That's 4 months. Maybe a 14. I going to go try on dresses July 27 and find a size that's tight and order the next size down. So stressful! I don't want to mess up her wedding or stress her out. My moms a seamstress so that helps!! You are lucky that your mom is a seamstress! I have a friend who can sew/alter anything. I am going to get her to help me! But I did send a pic of me all zipped to two friends (including the bride) who doubted my size choice . I can't even imagine a size 10! I was in like 8th grade when I was last that size! Will let you know. I would be thrilled! 1 newat52 reacted to this
melmel11 30 Posted August 4, 2013 I'm going to be in a similar boat. I'm being sleeved on September 3rd and am getting married in February which means I'm going to have to order a dress in the late fall and have NO idea how I'm going to know what size to get! Talk about adding even more stress to the next few months, lol! Any ideas on what to do? 1 feelbetter reacted to this

stacy03 50 Posted August 4, 2013 I was sleeved 7/1 and getting married 9/1. I got my seamstress on board before surgery and she's doing most of the alterations last minute. I tried it on on Friday and she's got to take in 3 inches already. 2 Cheer Mama and feelbetter reacted to this
