Post-Nasal Drip

Thanks in advance to all in this forum who have provided great insights for me so far. Being sleeved on Wednesday, 7/17. Nervous!

I have chronic sinus trouble with a lot of post-nasal drip. Worried about how this might affect me after the surgery... lots of gunk running down my throat has upset my stomach in the past. With such little space, I'm wondering if this will be worse or if there are things I can do to make it okay...

Does anyone have any experience with VSG and post-nasal drip that they'd be willing to share?

I'm not going to lie--the oxygen tube in my nose after surgery wasn't the best. I usually have post-nasal drip, especially this time of year, but had the opposite issue in the hospital with my nose getting really clogged up with dried up gunk (from the oxygen, anesthesia, etc.). Make sure you tell the anesthesiologist you are worried about nausea and ask for something to prevent it. Explain the post nasal dript too. However, I'm not sure how big of an issue it will be, because you will get a drug to help dry up secretions before the surgery, so that will probably eliminate some of the post-nasal drip. The first few days after surgery weren't my favorite, but they quickly passed and seem like a distant memory now. Wishing you all the best.
