Well apparently i have bones! Who knew?

Recommended Posts

So I've been having the hardest time sleeping. I thought it was because my pillows lost their fluff. But then I realized all of my pillows didn't loose their fluff I did! (Well not all my fluff...yet)

Vets how long does it take to get use to having bones you can feel?

I still have quite a bit to lose, and I also have bones. I've found that they seem to be closer to the surface than they used to when I was younger at this weight. I find that when I sit on a hard chair, I actually can feel myself sitting on them! All my fluff has shifted to less than desirable places, like an old lumpy pillow, lol.

Love this. I've never seen my collar bones until about a month ago. But I am also having trouble sleeping and getting comfy.

Hilarious! Me too!!! My poor hubby i have actually woken him up, saying..."wake up! Roll over!! Do you have this??!?" as in, collar bone, hip bone, inner thigh bone...because i feel it on me and freak out thinking it's a tumor or something.

It happens to everyone but fear not it's just a matter of getting used to the different feelings, one day before you know it you will be sleeping fine again. Good Luck.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
