TwyBaby 0 Posted July 15, 2013 My VS surgery is in less than 24 hours and this has been an emotional week! I feel very excited and a bit nervous. The impending surgery has forced me to face the reality that my relationship with food is ending, and for ten years all I have wanted is that. Now that I am getting it, it shook me up a bit! But all in all I am grateful for the experiences I have had these last ten days. But mostly, I am so amazed at the hearts of the people that are commenting on this site. You have no idea how much you have helped me prepare. I have been laughing and at times crying and learning from all of you. Wow - I'm so impressed. The wishes of good luck and the advice you all give to each other do my heart good. I survived this week being uplifted by the people here. Thanks everyone!! Cant wait to be on the other side of surgery.

Lori228 60 Posted July 15, 2013 I WAS REALLY WORRIED ABOUT THAT food RELATIONSHIP BUT I HAVE FOUND THAT I DON'T MISS IT AS MUCH AS I THOUGHT I WOULD. I STILL LIKE FOOD, I HAVE THINGS I LIKE, BUT I JUST DON'T HAVE TO HAVE SO MUCH OF IT AND THAT MAKES ME FEEL REALLY GOOD. FOOD HAS BEEN MY DRUG OF CHOICE FOR A LONG TIME BUT I AM OK HAVING A NEW RELATIONSHIP WITH IT. GOOD LUCK AND WELCOME!!
