Beach Lover 1,084 Posted July 15, 2013 So I have had a textbook surgery and recovery but yesterday I was getting a pain in my right side and it is still there today. I don't have a gallbladder so it's not that and to high up for appendicitis. It feels like it is in my midsection along the right side by my ribs. So...................has anyone ever had this type pain? It feels kind of like a muscle pain but I haven't done anything to myself.
Ballermom 803 Posted July 15, 2013 I remember having pains on both sides that never got to bad. However, Seek a professional opinion. Your physician will have definitive answers with a treatment plan. Good luck

So...................has anyone ever had this type pain? It feels kind of like a muscle pain but I haven't done anything to myself. I am a little over 3 weeks out and I just started having a pain in my right side today. My pain is about level with my belly button. It hurts when I move. Not terrible, but enough to make me worry. I have been wondering if I am getting a hernia. Hopefully this is normal?!?!

Not terrible, but enough to make me worry. I have been wondering if I am getting a hernia. Hopefully this is normal?!?! That is my same pain and it is level to my belly button.. I think it might be a pulled muscle but definitely not a hernia. I will call my doctor tomorrow just to double check it. I don't think it is anything but I was hoping someone on here had this and knew what it was. Feel better!
Stacy_Renee 11 Posted July 22, 2013 I have had the same pain, I am almost 3 weeks out. Called my doctor and they said that it is the internal stitch that is dissolving and can cause discomfort. I think I overdid it today, bending and squatting while painting a room, because the pain is a little worse, but feels like a pulled muscle, sort of. If it gets worse, I will call the doctor, but they said almost everyone feels this pain when that one stitch inside begins to dissolve. Hope this was a little helpful!
