6 months surgerversary before and after pics

Recommended Posts

Hi sleeve family,

Today marks 6 months since I was first sleeved. I was sleeved January 14, 2013. My starting highest weight was 299lbs. my surgery weight was 297lbs. Today I am weighting in at 205.5lbs. This surgery has truly been life changing. All the support from my family spouse and of you guy here on this site has help me get through this journey. I still have 35 to 50lbs to lose but I am just overwhelmed with how far I have come thus far. Looking at my before pictures I get emotional. At time I just want to delete them but I keep them as a constant reminder of where I never

wow

what an amazing job you've done with your weight loss :)

losing 91.5 lbs!!!!

great weight loss!!!!

great pictures!!!

I am holding the door open as you approach the century club

having support from your family et al means so much - so helpful :)

i totally get what you mean about keeping a few pictures of the old you (many/me OP did the same)

you must/should "remember where you've been, so you know where you are going" (some saying like that  )

keep doin' what you are doin'

its obviously working :)

keep up the good job/work :)

kathy

congrats

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
