From what I've read, the ONLY thing that helps is a good moisturizer. Really just keeping it moisturized is half the battle. Other than that, alpha hydroxyl acids will help exfoliate. I have a body lotion with AHA that keeps my skin hydrated and not flaky for that reason (coconut fig from Booth).

Anything with skin communicating agents like niacinamide will help. That means most lotions from Dove or Olay will help you. Check the ingredient list to ensure it has it.

Anything with caffeine will do a good job of temporarily reducing the APPEARANCE of cellulite for a few hours.

Most anything else is probably a waste of money :)

Yes I'm in marketing but when it comes to beauty products, I firmly believe in learning about ingredients, not brands.

There is a good website for learning about what works and what doesn't - Paula Begoun, "the Beauty Cop," is a good resource. Here is a link to her article discussing skin firming creams:

http://www.paulaschoice.com/expert-advice/anti-aging/_/the-truth-about-firming-creams

My daughter-in-law got me to try a new product called Nerium that was developed accidentally by MD Anderson Hospital in Houston. They developed a cream for their skin cancer patients, who came back after treatment asking for more because it made them look so young. then they realized they had a product to sell. Right now they have day and night cream, but evidently a skin contouring cream is coming out in the next month or so. I should get my shipment this week or next and will let ya'll know how it works out. Link to their website is below.

Wow thank you all or the advice.

I've been using Nivea q10and I have noticed a smoother appearance especially on my thighs which are in my opinion pretty yuck!

But I'm living with the fact that no cream is going to get of my bat wing arms and a little nip and tuck is in my future!

Paula is a GODDESS! Everything I know about the effectiveness of beauty products I learned from her. And saved myself a bunch of money.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
