I haven't had surgery yet but i love spicy food. Anyone had issues with spicy food and how long after surgery did you have to wait before it was okay to eat spicy food.

I love spicy food too but ever since surgery I have heartburn which is common with some sleevers. So because of that, if Im going to have spicy foods I have to eat them at lunch or as early in the day as possible because I find if I have it for dinner that my acid reflux is bad at night. Just pay attention to your body and you might have to adjust the time you eat it like myself. Good luck!

I eat spicy food almost weekly. The only issues I've had is with salsa - I think it's the tomatoes. But it doesn't last but a few minutes and then I'm fine.

I'm 9 days post op and I'm fine with spicy food. I eat Tabasco on my eggs or Beans, and I can eat hot and sour Soup (which is very spicy). No heartburn, no problems.

I wasn't much of a spicy food person preop, but a week after surgery I was putting Frank's in my chicken broth! I eat spicy all the time and it feels great on my sleeve.

Haven't had a lot yet but have been putting Frank's Red Hot Sauce on my refried Beans with no problem. Also have tried salsa and salsa verde. All good!

Love spicy food! Within the first 4 months it didn't love me, but I took Previcid up to month 6. After about 6-8 months, I was eating hot stuff with no problems. This too shall pass.
