Just got back from the Gym again... Yoga last night. Tonight I did an hour of a "Stability Ball" class... did about 60 pushups and a ton of ab work.

There were these skinny bitches in there... you know the kind that have always been skinny, always will BE skinny. I kept up with them, and think I may have even taken some of it a bit better than they did.

Amazing how "skinny" doesnt always equal "in shape"... ya know?

I also did 10 minutes of the elliptical on level 10 to warm up. 30 crunches on the Ab machine before class... 20 sets working my arms and chest... 30 sets working my lower back... 20 sets working the backs of my inner thighs..

I am back at Yoga tomorrow. I may even hop on my elliptical here at home tonight. I am on a mission.

I am going to see my best friend (he lives in Indianapolis... over 2 hours away) We have a very close relationship, and I hope that he really notices the change. He just sees me a certain way, and alot of the time he has a hard time being able to see the difference when I make a change. So, I am on a mission to lose at least 10 more lbs before March 9th.

Have a good night girls.

BK -- congrats on being able to join the competition at the Gym. You totally deserve it. I am glad you took the time to explain the surgery to that lady. So many people dont have a clue. When my best friend Eric found out I had the surgery... he said, "so, you had a Tummy Tuck?" HA! um, no... not exactly. Go kick some butt!

Claud -- have fun tomorrow honey! let us know all the juicy details.

I haven't exercised since last Friday! I keep making excuses. Someone kick me in the butt to get me going. I also haven't lost any weight this week! I need a boost of something! Help!

Bk, Bman, all of you exercise maniacs I admire you. I was worried about this, once I get out of my routine I have a VERY hard time getting back into it.

I guess Nat is headed for Florida today. Gonna miss you girl.

I guess I'll go hit the treadmill and try to get my butt into it again. UGH!

STEPH....I'm with you on the exercise thing!!! I really want to get started on my elliptical, but i'm still fighting this cold, and using it as my excuse I guess.....I should just exercise sick or no sick! We can do it!!! Did you get on the treadmill??

Claud....glad you're feeling better!! Where are you going on your trip??

My scale is Moving since my last fill!!! Woo hoo!!! Says I'm down a few more pounds....I'm so thrilled!!! Still hoping it lasts for more than a week or two! :)

Bev,

Sorry to butt in here...pick up a Pedometer (we have free ones in the office) and do 10,000 steps a day. This is a great way to kickstart your weight loss!

Steph you look wonderful honey!! I am so glad to see the pictures. You can really tell how much you've lost. You look great.

I've been so unmotivated lately. I havent even exercised once in the last three days... I am going to Yoga tomorrow though...so, i guess i could be doing worse.

I am trying to get my inspiration up to go get on that elliptical. I dont know what my deal is...

Nat -- have fun tonight :) 'nuf said

Sassy -- trust me we all know what you mean. I've been alot lost lately. It is easy to get that way. We are all right here if you need us. I would love to grill out. (im jealous)

booboo -- girl, i hear you about the clothes. The people that make them are idiots. Men can go buy a pair of 36x32 jeans without trying them on and BAM they fit when they get home. If a woman trys that... YEAH RIGHT. I cant buy from catalogs, and I always have to try things on. I hate going in designer stores their sizes always run small... BUT you look fantastic in your pics.

Im cranky too -- ive been cranky... I need to get my butt out of this funk that it has worked itself into.

Girls, I'm paying for it today. :faint: Feel like I got hit by a truck. ha

I took some extra strength tylenol and I guess i will work this all out tonight in Yoga. (i hope)

My body is screaming at me... my abs and my thighs/glutes. (ouch)

Girls, i didnt exercise all weekend Friday-Monday. So, dont think your doing anything less. I hadnt moved till I saw stephs pics and then I knew I better get my lazy butt moving if I was gonna stay on track with you girls.

Hurts to type....:)

OH! By the way, today is my 2nd month Bandiversary!

I can't wait to hear what Nat was up to in Florida. I am sure she will have stories when she gets back.

I'm still here - WORK has been kicking my AZZ this week. I am literally exhausted. Can't wait to head to FL. 5pm flight out of the tundra. We don't land until 10pm.

I posted in group - lots going on w/me and my friend. I miss him tons.

Haven't exercised all week - have been working from 7am - 10pm.

My new mattress was delivered yesterday and I had a fabulous night's sleep. I can't wait to snuggle up with my friend in my new bed. *sigh*

Gotta go pay attention though - I didn't want to leave without saying HI and i love you guys.

OH! Tomorrow I am going to the bariatric store in Pompano. KayDoll ordered some Protein samples from this place. What's the name of the store? It's located in Pompano. I am THERE. I am only eating that stuff all week while i'm there. Low carb, low fat, high protein. I want to lose 5 pounds this week. And get tanned and sunkissed. It's 80 degrees in FL.

Love you guys!

Nathalie

I did it - I got on the treadmill and did 30 minutes - today is the first day - AGAIN!! But isn't it wonderful that everyday is a new day? I feel so much better about myself when I get that 30 minutes in. I'm going to the mall for a pedicure so I'm sure I'll do some extra walking - I have a pedometer somewhere around here so maybe I should take DrC's advice and use it.

Hello Everyone!

Quick check in...life has been insanely busy this week. I had 2 clinicals which totally wipes me out both physically and emotionally. I had a deusy of a patient last night who had raging diabetes. She was only 38 and so sick with her disease. It was so sad to see. She wasn't overweight but I still couldn't help thinking that this surgery may just have saved me from a future of battling this terrible disease. I imagine that sounds self absorbed, but it was an "ah-ha" moment.

I have the kids home on school vacation, DH home from work due to the cold ground (can't do much underground utility work this time of year) and it has totally thrown off my routine. I have not had 1 exercise session this week and I feel it. I will be back to my routine ASAP. Can't wait for the kids to go back to school (bad mom!).

BBK-hope all goes well with jury duty. Sh@t happens..I am sure you are not the only one to miss jury duty.

VA-sounds like your fill is great. I am still getting used to mine. Just transitioned to solids today. I am definitely eating less and more satisfied, but not seeing any loss yet. I think it is due to the missing workouts. I am not sweating it though, I feel great despite what the scale says!

Steph-love you girl. Glad you feel so wonderful. Now ::smack:: on the butt and get in some workouts (like I should talk but you asked for the wack in the butt). Sounds like you had a great meeting. I have not gone to any of mine since they coincide with my school nights. I too would like to meet more local people. But to be honest, I don't feel like I am missing out on any support because I have all of you!

SLNP-Hope the workout was good. Sounds like you are doing great.

Brandi-you rock those exercise classes! Way to go. I hope your trip to see your friend is great. It is fun seeing people when you have made such great changes. Enjoy.

Nat-I will miss you. Have a great vacation. The website I bought my samples from was bariatriceating.com. I did not realize they have a store. Very cool. What a nice place to buy souveniers..ahem...hehe

Glad to hear about the good sleep too.

BK-way to go on the daycare. I think that sounds like a wonderful idea. It is so great to find something you are passionate about. I know you will be fantastic and caring with the kids.

Claudia-glad you are feeling better. It happens to all of us. I also think for me, I spent so many years eating my feelings. When we don't do that, we then have to actually "feel" them, which is scary!!!! Just keep working it out, I think it will all regulate itself.

I am off...I just wanted to say hello and have a great weekend. We are very busy this weekend (with mostly great stuff) so I may not see you all until Monday. Later hot stuffs!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
