Ok so I was sleeved on march 25th I'm down 55lbs or so. Don't get me wrong I'm totally happy with my results so far but I absolutely hate my arms!! The hanging skin..flab.. What ever it is is driving me nuts. I can even deal with my sagging stomach for now I guess cause I can't see it. But my arms... Does anybody have any suggestions other than surgery down the road to tighten them up?

I am right there with ya! I have been using firming lotion, too. I have been doing arm machines at the gym, but not daily. I have heard that kettlebell exercises are really good, so I am going to try that & do it daily. I won't wearless sleeveless without a jacket or shrug..and I really want to, but I don't think I will ever be able to. A friend of mine had her arms done after bypass surgery..ugly, huge scars...so, I still wouldn't be able to wear sleeveless. Best of luck to all of us with arm issues!!

Same problem here:(

Unfortunately there is not much to do except surgery. Doing weights and excercise will tighten up the muscle on top and it leaves the skin hanging. That skin if pretty bad will not go back. and surgery does leave pretty bad scares. Dont let some sagging skin get you down, my arms are half the size they were and i am so proud! I have been wearing sleeveless when its extremly hot and i just dont think about the skin. its a small price to pay to have lost all this weight and feel good. Embrace it if you can :D

I just started wearing sleeveless at the gym because I have been embarrassed about the hanging skin. I just decided to "own it". Guess what, I have received so many compliments about my amazing shoulders because my muscles are starting to really pop! No one is noticing the hanging skin.... sometimes I think we are our own worst critics.

I LOVE Karenb own it philosophy! I hate my arms too. I've lost 39 so far and my bat wings are flapping in the wind. It is what it is. I exercise and use body wraps to help firm them up. Every little but helps. But at the end of the day, ya just gotta own it and love your body. But that doesn't mean you stop trying :D

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
