shelbyschroepfer 35 Posted July 12, 2013 How long before fruit is ok? I LOVE fresh fruit and vegetables like could eat them all day and never need sweets or soda. I'm 2 days post op and an scheduled to start "regular food" on August 7th and just wondering if fruit is something easily tolerated or are we saying goodbye to it? Seems a shame if we are being as fruit is such a powerful source of nutrients!!! I will of course ask my doc but just wanted a reason for conversation as well. Watch at first acidic fruit...go slow...I was surprised I can handle oranges and the like now because before my surgery I could not....
