PGee 318 Posted July 12, 2013 PS we only live 10 minutes away from where I had the endoscopy
MandaPanda 173 Posted July 12, 2013 The endoscopy is the step that I am dreading the most. Thank you for asking the question and everyone else for their feedback. Good luck I hope it goes smooth for you. I was worried too. Had mine on 07/02 and it was a piece of cake. They gave me Propofol. Makes you feel really sleepy and then your out and then you wake up. Very easy. Felt a little groggy when I woke up but after 10 minutes I was fine and walked out and went to Starbucks 1 TerriJ reacted to this
NewAshes 232 Posted July 12, 2013 It too Yup, I knew right away I had a hernia that needs attention......the H.Pylori test will take a few days.......my husband went with me until they wheeled me out......then he went home for a couple of hours, and they called him, and he was there when I woke up..... it took you hours? PGee 318 Posted July 12, 2013 the procedure only took minutes......but we also did a lower GI, the 2 hours included going down there and getting hooked up, getting the IV in, etc.
nervousnelly 24 Posted July 12, 2013 I was so worried too, but it was a piece of cake. I had the stuff that Michael Jackson got addicted to and had one of the best sleeps ever. I couldn't believe it when the dr came in to talk about what she saw, I was like wait when did you do this. Only issue is I have a bleeding ulcer so I have to have that clear up prior to my sleeve. I too went for lunch after the test
LouiseC 1,031 Posted July 15, 2013 I wanted to go back to work after mine so I choose nothing more than a simple throat spray to lube/numb the throat. It was pretty disgusting and the nurse had to hold me down initially to stop the automatic reflex reaction to want to pull the tube out but once I got through that it was over quickly and forgotten. Then I could just head straight back to work with no need for additional drama.
