Phoenix79 452 Posted July 11, 2013 I've been walking since I got back from the hospital. I'm now walking on the treadmill since walking outside bores the heck out of me. I'm now up to 3.1 mph and 3% ramp elevation for 30 min 2x a day- works out to about 3 miles a day. But today, as I was 10 min into my walk, I felt soooo tempted to break into a jog! I had so much energy and I wanted to do more than I was doing. I'm sure my surgeon would frown on it until I'm further out, but it feels awesome to feel like I want to- and could do running! I've never been a runner, but I can't wait until I'm cleared to do more stuff! Running, crew, Zumba, ballroom dancing here I come- and maybe even hiking! 4 RAAinNH, 1SlimSistah2, Aussiebon and 1 other reacted to this

When I'm on the treadmill the only thing I want to breakout is a snickers But really that's great if you can find something you enjoy doing its empowering and will help keep you healthy and string through the weight loss. 4 ProudGrammy, TES, Rox and 1 other reacted to this

I'm a good girl and do exactly what my surgeon says! I won't do anything except walking (he also said elliptical & bike riding is ok) until I'm cleared. 1 ProudGrammy reacted to this

Ballermom 803 Posted July 11, 2013 It's Awesome that you are feeling so good. I like that idea of hard when you feel up to it hold on to the plans for increased activity. Bike riding is also my favorite. Congrats
