newat52 1,613 Posted July 11, 2013 I did have a big desire but I held off. For the first 6 weeks or so, even though you are losing weight, you are still swollen and looser clothing was more comfortable. As the healing proceeded, it was SO much fun to put on something and one day it was just not wearable any longer. Those are the days you are dancing out of your closet! It really helped when I was in a stall, the scale may not have been moving but the inches were and it has carried my though. Even last night, I have been in an awful stall for almost a month now but dang, another pair of jeans bit the dust! :-) It was one of the last of shopping in my own closet experiences I will have. My huge clothing size range is gone. I'm in new territory now! 1 TES reacted to this

GypsyQueen 198 Posted July 11, 2013 Yes, after surgery you will appreciate having a few stretchy pieces of clothing! But I'm with you, I love to purge the closet I have enjoyed stepping down in sizes. I go buy the same pair of jean capris every 2-3 weeks in a smaller size (on sale!). Now I need smaller shoes too!
